When?
The Growth Groups are launching in Bristol in Nov 2024, with a Taster event to see what it’s all about. The Group sessions begin in March 2025 .
Sessions will open at 09.00 with a 09.30 start time to allow for school drop-offs.
Where?
The sessions will be held in Origin Workspace, the digital and tech shared workspace in Berkeley Square, just off the Triangle.
Who?
The events are led by two top-class facilitators with extensive, successful careers in the digital sector.
The sessions are also suported by Bristol Creative Industries, the network for Bristol's digital creative industries.
Your Facilitators
Chris Thurling
Chris will be the Group's 'Expert'. He is the Chairman of Armadillo, a 90-person specialist CRM marketing agency in Bristol. Between 2017 and 2023, Chris was also Chair of Bristol Creative Industries, the 900-strong membership organisation for the creative industries in the region.
Chris studied History and Politics at the University of Warwick. He went on to complete an MPhil in politics at Bristol University, although, in 1995, he founded 3Sixty, a web design studio - which grew from scratch to achieve a seven-figure turnover. After 17 years at the helm, Chris moved into consulting, became a qualified executive coach and mentor and qualified as a Chartered Director with the IoD in 2022.
Anthony Story
Anthony will be the group's 'Faciltiator'. He has been helping the growth and innovation of businesses since 2012. This includes delivering a wide array of support programmes including mentoring, workshops, investment and accelerators. He’s helped over 250 leaders of digital, creative and tech businesses (of all sizes) improve their understanding and ability to develop their businesses with better control and more confidence.
Before then he grew an award-winning, digital agency to a seven figure turnover. He has authored two volumes of the business books One Thing I Know, hosted the 10th Degree podcast, established the Silicon South business network in Dorset, and assesses for Innovate UK.
